1. Home charging installation. A proper charging point is a real up-front cost. Charging from a standard socket works but is slow.
2. Battery replacement. The genuine long-term risk. Modern EV batteries are lasting well, and warranties typically run to eight years, but a replacement outside warranty is expensive. Ask the dealer what a replacement pack costs today — it belongs in your calculation.
3. Insurance is sometimes higher for EVs, reflecting repair costs and parts availability.
4. Resale uncertainty. The Nepali used-EV market is still young. Depreciation patterns are not yet established.
5. Tyre wear is often faster — EVs are heavier and deliver instant torque.
